Day 1: Arrive in Kathmandu

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu

 

  • Arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu.

  • Meet and greet by our representative and transfer to your hotel.

  • Check-in and rest for a while to recover from your journey.

  • In the afternoon, visit Boudhanath Stupa, one of the largest stupas in Nepal and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

  • Take a circumambulation (kora) around the stupa, spinning prayer wheels and soaking in the peaceful ambiance.

  • Explore the surrounding monasteries, shops selling Tibetan artifacts, and enjoy a traditional Tibetan meal.

  • Return to your hotel for overnight stay in Kathmandu.

 

Day 2: Kathmandu Valley Buddhist Sites

 

  • After breakfast, proceed to Swayambhunath Stupa, also known as the Monkey Temple, another UNESCO World Heritage Site.

  • Climb the steps to reach the stupa complex and enjoy panoramic views of Kathmandu Valley.

  • Explore the various shrines, temples, and Tibetan monasteries surrounding the stupa.

  • Continue your day with a visit to Kopan Monastery, a prominent Tibetan Buddhist monastery located on the outskirts of Kathmandu.

  • Participate in meditation sessions, teachings, or simply soak in the serene atmosphere of the monastery.

  • Return to your hotel for overnight stay in Kathmandu.

 

Day 3:  Patan

 

  • After breakfast explore the ancient city of Patan, also known as Lalitpur, which is home to numerous Buddhist temples and stupas.

  • Visit Patan Durbar Square, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and marvel at the intricate architecture of its temples and palaces.

  • Explore the Golden Temple (Hiranya Varna Mahavihar), Mahabouddha Temple, and other Buddhist landmarks in Patan.

  • Return to your hotel for overnight stay in Kathmandu.

 

Day 4: Namo Buddha

 

  • After breakfast, embark on a journey to Namo Buddha, a sacred Buddhist pilgrimage site located about 40 kilometers southeast of Kathmandu.

  • Explore the Namo Buddha Monastery and Stupa, where it's believed that Buddha, in a previous life, sacrificed his own flesh to save a starving tigress and her cubs.

  • Participate in meditation or prayers at the monastery.

  • Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant nearby.

  • In the afternoon, return to Kathmandu and spend the rest of the day at leisure.

  • Overnight stay in Kathmandu.

 

Day 5: Departure from Kathmandu

 

  • After breakfast, depending on your departure time, you may have some free time for last-minute shopping or exploration.

  • Transfer to Tribhuvan International Airport for your onward journey, concluding your memorable Buddhist pilgrimage in Kathmandu.
